Osomtex x Goodwill: Revolutionizing Textile Recycling Together
Patricia Ermecheo
We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with Goodwill—yes, that Goodwill, champions of second-hand culture. Known as America’s largest curator of pre-loved treasures, Goodwill is more than just thrift stores. They’re pioneers in promoting a circular economy, creating local jobs, and supporting communities nationwide. By collecting and reselling millions of items yearly, Goodwill keeps vast amounts of textiles and goods out of landfills, giving them a second chance at life.
Together, we’re taking things to the next level. Our partnership includes a cutting-edge recycling and sorting program, transforming unsold and well-worn clothing into recycled fiber, ready to be spun into yarn or used in non-woven applications. And the cherry on top? We just launched the first-ever fully circular product in Goodwill’s history—a low-cut sock made entirely from Goowill’s recycled textile feedstock. Now available online and in Tampa Bay area stores, these socks represent a huge step forward in sustainable fashion.
With Goodwill’s influence and Osomtex’s innovative technology, we’re redefining what’s possible in textile recycling. This collaboration is just the beginning, and we’re excited to keep pushing the boundaries.
